There are a few decisions that must be made between
you and your doctor before having breast enlargement surgery
performed. Among these choices are incision
placement,
type of implant, and implant placement. Most Newport Beach
breast enlargement surgeons use saline implants, as the previously-standard
implant solution, silicone, led to some health problems. Since
silicone was removed from the market, however, some advancements
have been made, and it is slowly being turned again in certain
breast enhancement situations.
For the implant to be placed, breast tissue is manipulated
to create a pocket, and then the implant is inserted, either
under or over the muscle wall. This is one of the other decisions
that will have been made prior to surgery. For reasons of appearance,
shape, and durability, there are benefits to both. Once the
implant is placed, the incision location is sutured and the
process is complete.
Recovery
Most Newport Beach breast enlargement patients are able
to return to work just a few days after their surgery, but
should usually allow a little longer before attempting any
strenuous activities. Physical contact with breasts should
be avoided for around 3-4 weeks.
